Custom Group Ltd have worked with West Northamptonshire Council on many projects. In light of this we wanted to give something back to the community and asked if they had a cause that was important to them. After some discussions and serious consideration, they chose the Cynthia Spencer hospice.
The hospice offers quality care to patients with life limiting illnesses, providing psychological and physical aid and ‘respecting the uniqueness of each person’. The hard work and determination of the charity, and the importance of the services they offer, encouraged us to reach out through West Northamptonshire council and offer a donation.
We provided the charity with £1,000, which is the equivalent of two days’ worth of care for a patient in the hospice. This makes a huge difference to those who receive the hospice services, as one patient explained after a recent stay;
‘I’ve got my mojo back and I feel like I want to live, instead of sitting at home at night thinking please take me tonight, because that’s the state I was in’
Custom Group are pleased to have helped make an impact for such an important foundation within the Northampton community, and hope the Cynthia Spencer hospice are able to continue making a positive distance to the lives of patients and their families for a long time to come.
